Eywa — the first feng shui building in Dubai
One of my tasks is to photograph all the signature projects and locations in the cities where Whitewill sells real estate. Through photo stories, I try to capture the atmosphere and architectural details of these places to help our clients find a worthy place to live or invest.
Two years ago, I filmed a review in the sales office of the Eywa residential building. It also stands on the canal, but the apartments here are many times more expensive. And here's why.
The building has 48 residences and two penthouses across 19 floors. The apartments here are spacious — from 270 square meters. A square meter with high-quality finishing costs buyers $11,000.
But the main highlight here isn't the numbers. The building was designed according to the rules of Vastu — the Indian equivalent of feng shui.
Embedded into the building's concrete structure is a pyramid made of 3,355 crystals and semi-precious stones, with a total weight of 16 tons. The idea is that the crystals purify the energy. Subtle matters.
The water from the taps is structured and «energized» with vibrations, mimicking Icelandic glacial water. The air is filtered to operating room standards with ionization. Bedrooms have electromagnetic field shielding. Trendy.
The building is nearly finished, and the developer has opened an entire floor of model apartments. They fully furnished them to show what a unit from the developer will look like.
I stopped by to take photos. Unusual kitchens. Rounded corners on the ceilings. Large, cozy terraces with green glazed tiles on the facade and waterfalls. Lots of raw stone and wood slabs. All the millwork is included in the base finishing package.
