Dubai Beach Edition — cosmic-tropical vibes
One of my tasks is to photograph all the signature projects and locations in the cities where Whitewill sells real estate. Through photo stories, I try to capture the atmosphere and architectural details of these places to help our clients find a worthy place to live or invest.
I know how annoying it is to read about new residential complexes. Especially expensive ones. Especially on the seafront. Especially with a private beach. Especially at the end of autumn. There are only a few buildings left. Hang in there.
Dubai Beach Edition is the world's only Edition with a private beach. It's being built between the marina and the bay. To its left stretches the sandy JBR beach for several kilometers, crowned by the Ferris wheel on Bluewaters, and to its right rise the skyscrapers of Beachfront and Dubai Marina, interspersed with dozens of yacht masts.
All the first-line buildings in JBR are already built, and this is the last project in the location. I drove past the large plot every time I came to SkyDive to go skydiving (twice, to be exact).
And here's an interesting quirk of the location — you absolutely have to love the sound of propellers and skydivers who, like dandelions from the sky, will be constantly descending nearby while you sip your mojito on the beach. But this applies to all projects in the area.
The project features three circular hotel towers connected by a floating bridge and four residential buildings with 165 residences.
Floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious semicircular terraces, reflections of the setting sun, sleek yachts gliding across the bay's surface, and the majestic Marina skyscrapers vying with each other for height — all this is the standard view from the living room of Edition residences.
I was looking for a metaphor to describe these circular buildings on the shore. What came to mind was a large drum kit, where each tower is a separate drum, gleaming in the sun and setting the rhythm for this part of the city.
My second idea was to compare the buildings to large cosmic objects that have neatly landed on the beach — symmetrical, with wide rings lit up around the perimeter.
The interiors were designed by Rockwell Group from New York. They've done spaces for Nobu, as well as for legendary Manhattan restaurants. Light wood, stone, soft tones, large kitchen islands, spacious living rooms that flow seamlessly onto the terrace.
In terms of service, the project is close to the concept of a resort built into the city. A private beach. Several pools. A spa. A gym. Tropical gardens. Kids' areas. Restaurants. Padel. And all of it to the high standards of the Edition brand.
Residents have access to 24/7 concierge service, in-apartment dining, priority booking at restaurants, event planning assistance, and Marriott's Onvia program — privileges at the best hotels in the network worldwide.
The square footages are substantial. Two-bedroom residences at 210 square meters, three-bedroom at 300–350, penthouses — an entire floor with massive terraces. Just 165 apartments — and a private beach right outside your windows.
