Aman Residences — ultra-luxury on a peninsula with infinite views
One of my tasks is to photograph all the signature projects and locations in the cities where Whitewill sells real estate. Through photo stories, I try to capture the atmosphere and architectural details of these places to help our clients find a worthy place to live or invest.
That the hotel brand Aman, owned by Vladislav Doronin, is launching its first project in Dubai is known to every local broker. Everyone speaks of it with awe. Not everyone knows the details. And even fewer have actually done deals there.
Aman will be located on the Jumeirah Bay 2 peninsula. For those even slightly in the know, that's right next to the Bulgari island. The project includes a 100-key hotel and two towers with 78 residences, along with a necklace of private villas on the bay shore. All of this on 3.5 hectares of a private peninsula with a 350-meter beach.
«Dubai is renowned for its futuristic skyline and bold architectural innovation. In creating the residences, we chose a design that honors the region's cultural heritage while infusing the project with the progressive spirit of the metropolis,» says the lead architect of Kerry Hill Architects.
They are the authors of nine previous Aman projects, including those in Kyoto, Tokyo, and Beverly Hills.
In Sanskrit, «aman» means a place of peace. Silence. Minimalism. Eastern philosophy adapted to modern Dubai. Each residence features a terrace with a private pool. Lot sizes range from 350 to 920 square meters. The top penthouses occupy the upper floors of the towers, with a garland of cozy terraces and multiple pools. Prices are bracing, like the water in the Dubai sea in December.
Inside the hotel — the thoughtful Aman service. The very one that has upheld its high standards of hospitality since the first Amanpuri back in 1988. Owners have access to personal concierge, 24/7 butler service, in-residence dining, laundry, pet care, and a private chef.
Available options include event planning, home maintenance in your absence, and kids' and spa services right in the apartment.
In the residential section: a library, a meeting room, a 50-meter main pool, a gym, and a garden. In addition, residence owners get access to Aman Dubai hotel — the most peaceful place on the coast.
At beach level, there will be Nura, Aman's signature club with a view of the bay panorama. On the second level — Arva, an Italian restaurant, and a French bakery. Also here — a Chinese restaurant. And a Japanese restaurant along with a cigar and shisha lounge will rise from ground level to the upper floors of the hotel.
Aman Club will operate for all guests and residents. Its area is 9,500 m². Inside: a fitness center with two training rooms, two padel courts, two tennis courts, a pool with cabanas, a waterfront restaurant, a jazz club, a cigar lounge, a cocktail bar, meeting rooms, and coworking space.
Aman will have the largest urban spa among all brand hotels — 2,900 square meters. A dozen treatment rooms, a hammam, a sauna, a cryotherapy area, private spa capsules, a yoga studio, and a lounge.
The developer of the project is H&H. This brand burst onto the Dubai market and became a new benchmark for luxury and quality. The developer's portfolio includes Four Seasons and Baccarat residences, and a series of top-tier Eden House properties in various districts of Dubai.
«This will probably be the most expensive hotel in the Emirates,» said Vladislav Doronin, Executive Director of Aman Resorts. «We will spend a lot of money. But we'll create a top-tier product. Views of the city and the sea. Private pools. Beautiful landscaping. This will justify the high prices,» he added. «We've doubled what we have in Beverly Hills. We're building 3.6 hectares of gardens right on the waterfront.»
You've just learned that on an island ten minutes from the Burj Khalifa, a space will be created where light meets water, and the city meets silence. Well, and I'm meeting requests from buyers and partners.
