Five Sensoria — a bold tower in Dubai
One of my tasks is to photograph all the signature projects and locations in the cities where Whitewill sells real estate. Through photo stories, I try to capture the atmosphere and architectural details of these places to help our clients find a worthy place to live or invest.
Burning with my passion for art, I haven't written about real estate in a while. This week I stopped by to check out the new building — Five Sensoria. There haven't been any newly completed projects in this location for the past two years, so it's interesting to see how they ultimately delivered this «bold» tower.
I call it «bold» because it peeked out rather immodestly from the uniform row of buildings on JBR's first line. It feels like the tower pushed aside the other skyscrapers, took a big step toward the sea, and asked all the neighboring buildings: «So, who's the boss around here?» — and answered itself.
One interesting feature — the tower has an automated parking system. You drive in, step out into the lobby, and the car whisks itself away somewhere up into the building.
The building is tall. The footprint is small. Classic ramps with turning circles simply wouldn't fit. So the architects went with a mechanized parking system. It's not a new solution, but it makes sense here.
All the amenities are in the neighboring building inside the Five hotel: spa, fitness, restaurants, pools, and beach club. A full resort package. Inside Sensoria itself, there's only a private cinema.
The building has forty apartments. Only two floor plans: three-bedroom and four-bedroom. Plus penthouses.
All apartments come with pools. No exceptions. As an add-on, the developer offered full furnishing and decor down to the slippers, bedding, and books on the shelves. I looked at one finished four-bedroom. It came with the decor package. Impressive. High quality.
Sensoria turned out striking — bold, with great views, and expensive. A first-line tower where, alongside beautiful interiors and automated parking, live market stories about mistakes, calculations, and the price of time.
An apartment, by the way, sold for $5.3 million in three days. Identical apartments are currently listed on the market for $6.8 million. There have already been two deals at that price. But you need to get the keys and wait for a buyer.
