SLS. Club skyscraper with fashionable hotel in Dubai.
The American hotel chain SLS is part of the Accor holding company and has 10 hotels: in Miami, Cancun, Bahamas, Beverly Hills, Buenos Aires, and one of the flagships in Dubai. The latter is the subject of this post.
The Dubai SLS is located in the Business Bay location. And in that part of it, which is still being actively built up, which often raises questions for those who find themselves in this area for the first time. But even in the place of Dubai Marina, once there was a desert.
The tower has 75 floors. The first floor has a grand entrance with a coffee shop and a spectacular entrance to the parking garage. 32 floors are occupied by duplex residences for permanent living with their own pool and fitness center, as well as a conference area. Next comes the 32 floors of the hotel with duplex rooms and penthouses, which offer cool views of Downtown, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Creek Reserve.
But the best part is on the top five floors. There's a grand lobby with high ceilings, a fitness center, a spa area with pools, a whole bunch of cool restaurants, the tallest outdoor pool in Dubai, and even its own nightclub. That's why I call the skyscraper a club - it's a buzzing place.
Hiding on the terrace near the pool is one of the recognizable symbols of this hotel chain, a giant metal duck of Philip Starck design.
The resident suites are almost completely sold out, but the developer has prepared a cool offer for investors. There are two programs when buying a hotel room:
- 7% APR in dollars for ten years on a ten-year contract with the option to live in the hotel for free for up to 28 days a year.
- 5% APR in the dollar for ten years with a buyback at the end of the contract. This is for the most conservative guys. This is the program of choice for anxious Europeans and Asians.
The project itself is packed with chips: from the design of the lobby, elevators and the rooms themselves, to a lot of art objects and cool paintings scattered here and there around the building.
Trendy place, good conditions for investors.
