Russian Week in Abu Dhabi - Fair and Festival
The "Made in Russia" fair kicked off in Abu Dhabi, which was held from February 21 to 25 on the seafront of Yas Island. About 80 producers from Russia brought their products: domestic chocolate, vegetables and meat, caviar and seafood, fruits and berries from Sevastopol, sweets from Voronezh, Samara and St. Petersburg. Pastila, marshmallows - and other goodies.
With love from Russia
A stage was erected on the embankment, which was richly decorated with khokhloma and other recognizable patterns. Russian folk music sounded for all tourists, and there were also dances from folk dancers in national costumes. Perhaps, so loudly Russian songs in the desert has not yet sounded.
The expansion of Russian culture
In addition to the fair, you can find echoes of Russian culture elsewhere in the Emirates. Under the Burj Khalifa, fountains dance to "Kalinka," Russian speech can be heard at almost every turn on Bluewaters, and the band Leningrad performs a concert on Saadiyat Island at the new Saadiyat Nights venue. Beauty.
The Emirates once again show that they are friends with Russia not only in words, but also in deeds.
