Guggenheim Museum in Abu Dhabi.

Next door to the Louvre, construction of the Guggenheim Museum is in full swing. Abu Dhabi has decided to finally and irrevocably consolidate its status as the cultural capital of the Emirates.

If the Louvre is about world history, the Zayed Museum is about Emirati history, the Guggenheim will be about contemporary art.

The architect is Frank Gehry, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. The Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, TeamLab Phenomena and the Guggenheim Museum itself will stand 500 meters away from each other on one island. The Natural History Museum will also be there. 

The Arab approach: we need to make Abu Dhabi a cultural center; take all the best museum brands - Louvre, Guggenheim; invite the best architects - Foster, Hadid, Gehry; buy art collections, do cool packaging and branding, build parks, housing, beaches - done. We are the cultural capital of the entire Middle East.
