Flipping by Oleg Torbosov. Apartment with arboretum in Bluewaters
Whitewill founder Oleg Torbosov buys ready-made apartments to fully upgrade and then exhibit them later, but with a higher price. This investment strategy is called flipping, which we wrote about earlier. And now we want to tell you how Oleg managed to create a real jungle in an apartment with a spacious terrace.
What was it originally?
A 2-bedroom apartment with a maid's room totaling 150 m² located on the third floor of a clubhouse in Bluewaters. No chips in the interior, boring furniture and a lounge area on the terrace which was fully visible from the neighboring houses. No privacy or coziness.
What did they come up with?
To start with, the terrace floor was refinished and carpets were laid. Then they arranged furniture, 45 palm trees and about 300 kilograms of black stones as decoration. To hide the lounge zone from prying eyes - 2 large light-colored awnings were installed. Also, a cubic bed was placed in the left part of the terrace. As a result, we got a cozy mini-jungle with a stunning palette of aromas.
What else did you add?
In the spacious living room, a large light fixture made in the image of the sculpture "Walking Man" by the great Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti was placed as a decoration. The walls were additionally lined with wood as well as stone slabs. Plus the interiors were decorated with indoor plants.
The apartment is for sale for 7,800,000 AED.
